Patagonia Wildlife

The wildlife in Patagonia is a complex blend of native species and those introduced by european immigrants that have thrived in the landscape. They seem to have formed a very harmonious union. Exotic bird species ranging from the massive Andean Condor to beautifully colored parrots, song birds, and hummingbirds; several native species of camelids, strange-looking giant rodents that more resemble fairy-tale rabbits; native pumas and foxes; and of course, the trout that bring anglers from around the world.
